Guitar

Together with a friend, we started to develop electric guitars. With his expertise on guitars and my technical skill we came we several iterations until we landed on this final design which we still intend to produce someday.

Urban bat exhibit – Natural History Museum

The Nature history museum “Natuurhistorisch Museum” in Rotterdam wanted an exhibition outside their main building that listened to bats and replayed their sound out of a speaker to a frequency that is within the limits for human hearing. The design needed to be mounted upside down a lamp.

for this, I designed a directional microphone that is able to withstand both the elements and the hands of curious or destructive visitors. The orb in the center houses the microphone and, thanks to the design, can be turned 360 degrees horizontally and 270 degrees vertically. Any chosen direction can be locked using hidden screws.

Childrens balance game

With the rise of smartphones and tablets came the problem that children would use these instead of playing outside. One of the consequences was that they underdeveloped their muscles used for balance.

For this purpose i designed a balance board with which you would use your balance to guide a marble through a maze. To this function it has the unique feature that you could modify its difficulty by repositioning and attaching a piece that increases the surface of contact with the balance board and the ground.
